Across from you lies a dais, topped by a throne of black marble. Upon this throne sits a shadowed figure -- a woman.
Very little of the lady can be distinguished past faint outlines...save the upper half of her face, the long, wavy dark blue hair which tumbles down her shoulders and back, and her piercing azure eyes.
The chilling blue eyes peer at you, and her right hand emerges from the gloom. In its grasp -- a small chalice filled with a red liquid. You cannot identify what it would be -- wine, blood...it does not seem to matter.
Her gaze narrows, and you notice how finely engraved the cup is -- tiny spiderwebs of design playing over its form in seemingly random patterns.
Somehow, you didn't notice them before.
Then you see the crimson trickling from the container as if it were blood, and the lady's gaze seems to become more frantic...
The chalice cracks.
The chalice shatters.
The chalice tinkles to the floor in riven shards...
"You are a Queen, yes? You do this for fun when you are finished with the hard lessons of your Craft, yes? You do this because Ladies must learn many things to be good Queens, yes? You do not make polite, itsy-bitsy drawings. Bah! There is fire in your heart, yes? That fire needs charcoal and a large pad to express itself. Then, when you want to draw a vase, draw a vase.

Welcome to what is basically the receptacle for some of my writings. Some might describe such a thing as a homepage, but it doesn't really do more then archive the various stories I've written. Feel free to browse through them -- they are here to provide enjoyment to any who would find such in internet writings. ^_^
One slight note, though. I most likely will not host anyone else's works here, sadly. At least, not unless I know that person very well... The primary reason for this page's existence is so I can write at my own pace, without feeling that I am pressuring someone else, or being pressured.
One more note... For those of you who may wonder -- this site's (main) theme is inspired by The Black Jewel Trillogy, an excellent fantasy series written by Anne Bishop. However, I am not insane. Just eccentric. ^^;

Wheeee, DA chapter 2 is up! Now I get to wait a year before I finish 3. Or, maybe not. 3 shouldn't take as long as 2, though, because I don't think I can put as many events, but then the prologue and 1 were a bit sparse...so you never know. I may have called 2 'Silver Bird', but I could have just as easily called it 'Selina gets humble pie'. ^^; Oh, and I do have a forum up, now, courtesy of Mieu. *hugs the Dark Siren*
